“Children Are Artists. The Problem Is How To Remain An Artist Once He Grows Up”-Pablo Picasso
Our History
It all started with an idea - as a group of toy enthusiasts we wondered if we could make a difference in the toy industry. We discovered that with some research and hard work, we could indeed make a lasting impact on children. We began by creating a single product that required no instructions, and have made open-play possible for kids everywhere.
For the past decade, we have been providing children with the resources they need to create their own masterpieces. We believe that open-play is essential for children’s development, as it allows them to develop skills that are not typically taught in the classroom. We are an art faced STEM-backed company that prioritizes creativity while also letting kids learn on their own.
Our Mission
Our mission is to encourage open-play and creativity in children. We believe that learning should be fun, which is why we don't include instructions with our toys. Instead, we want children to explore the world around them and use their imagination to play and create.
Our goal is to help children develop their skills in science, technology, engineering, and math through the lens of art. We see the world as a canvas for children to create and explore on.
Our focus is the integration of art education into STEM education, as reflected in our use of STEAM labeling and the name “PicassoTiles”, which pays homage to the famous artist Pablo Picasso.
In the words of Pablo Picasso, we want to help children stay artists, even as they grow older. We are committed to making sure each child has the resources and opportunities to explore their creativity and learning in a fun and engaging way.
